While living on St. George Island, Florida, I spent a great deal of time outdoors.
Whether it was walking the dog, working on renovation projects, enjoying the beach, or simply sitting on the porch, bugs were a regular part of life.
The challenge wasn’t finding bug repellents.
The challenge was finding one I actually enjoyed using.
Like many people, I tried countless sprays and lotions over the years.
Some worked.
Some worked better than others.
But many left my skin feeling sticky, uncomfortable, and ready for a shower the minute I got back inside.

The Inspiration Behind SGI Naturals
SGI Naturals didn’t begin as a business plan.
It started as a personal project.
After years of dealing with no-see-ums, mosquitoes, yellow flies, and other biting insects on St. George Island, I began experimenting with natural ingredients.
Over nearly two years, I refined the formula that eventually became SGI Naturals Bug Repellent Balm.
The recipe remains intentionally simple:

How I Use It
Before heading outdoors, I simply apply a small amount to exposed skin.
